Y Gair #22
WALLS HAVE TEETH VOLUME 1
Hey y’all!
It’s been a while since you heard from us. I’ll write a post about where we’ve been, what we’ve been up to, and what we got coming up, another time. Dyddiau Du is slowly coming out of retirement/hibernation/whatever you want to call it. We seriously needed some time out and we’re looking forward to (slowly) gearing up. More on that soon.
For now, I want to talk about an event we’ve got coming up THIS WEEK(!!) —
WALLS HAVE TEETH - VOL.1
An evening of readings & short film screenings
1800 - 2100 AT g39, Oxford Street, Cardiff
FREE!! BYOB!!
There’ll be a small distro from Bread & Roses, an anarchist publisher from the States. All readers will have books for sale also.
Readings from:
Nate Perkins, Adam Gnade, Andrew Hykel Mears
Adam & Nate are coming over from the US to do some readings in the UK & Europe. Please come out to support them and buy their books!

Short films from:
Water Into Wine by Ruby Smith-Brown
Machynys Forgets Itself by Tom Cardew
Gathering by Durre Shalwar & Kandace Siobhan Walker
Where Does One State End and the Other Begin? by Howl&Jones
(Howl Hubbard & Joshua Jones)
read more about the films and their makers in the graphics below!

I’m really, really excited about this event. if it has a lot of interest and people enjoy it, then we’ll keep doing it! It’s as simple as that. I’d love to continue building a space where film, fiction, images and poetry can exist together. Consider this one a pilot.
While this is a pretty DIY effort, with no funding or help, special thanks to g39 for providing us with their lovely cinema space.
Final note: here’s some lovely photos of myself, Adam & Andrew from last year, when we toured the US together. A magic time. I can’t wait to see them here in Cardiff!
(b&w photos taken on film by me, except the 1st one of me and & Andrew, which was taken by Adam)

Please help to share the word! Forward this newsletter to your pals, bring a couple of tins and some spare cash to buy books from the authors.
Lots of love,
Joshua x
